The sport closest to every Filipino bettor's heart
Basketball is more than a game in the Philippines — it's a national obsession. From rowdy neighbourhood courts in Quezon City to packed arenas in Manila, Filipinos follow every bounce. tah77 brings that passion into the online betting world with one of the most comprehensive basketball markets available to Philippine players.
The PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) is covered every conference — Commissioner's Cup, Philippine Cup, and the Governors' Cup. You'll find markets for game winners, quarter scores, total points, player performance props, and handicap lines. Live in-play betting updates in real time as the game unfolds, so you can react to momentum shifts, foul trouble, or a hot shooting stretch.
On top of PBA, tah77 covers the NBA regular season, playoffs, and Finals with a full range of markets. FIBA World Cup and Olympic basketball qualifiers are also available when active, giving Filipino fans a way to back Gilas Pilipinas through every qualifying round.
Live betting tip: tah77 in-play markets refresh in real time. Quarter breaks are a good moment to reassess lines before placing your next bet.
Understanding the odds before you place your first bet
If you're new to sports betting or just joining tah77 for the first time, understanding how markets and odds work is the first step. tah77 displays odds in decimal format by default, which is the most common format among Asian and Philippine bettors. The number shown represents your return per peso wagered, including your stake.
For example, if the odds on a PBA team winning are 1.85, a ₱500 bet would return ₱925 if successful — that's your ₱500 stake plus ₱425 in winnings. Handicap markets add or subtract points from a team's score to create a more balanced line, which is especially common in basketball betting where one team may be a heavy favourite.
The table below shows a simplified example of how a basketball market might appear in the tah77 sportsbook. Actual odds change based on real-time market movements and are not guaranteed:
| Market | Selection | Example Odds |
|---|---|---|
| Match Winner | Team A to Win | 1.75 |
| Match Winner | Team B to Win | 2.10 |
| Point Spread | Team A -5.5 | 1.90 |
| Point Spread | Team B +5.5 | 1.90 |
| Total Points | Over 195.5 | 1.88 |
| Total Points | Under 195.5 | 1.92 |
* Example only. Odds shown are for illustration purposes and do not reflect live market values.
tah77 offers multiple ways to bet on every event
The simplest bet — one selection on one event. If your pick is correct, you win based on the odds multiplied by your stake. Good for beginners and experienced bettors alike.
Combine multiple selections into one bet for a higher potential return. All selections must win for the bet to pay out. Popular among Filipino bettors who want to maximize returns from a small stake.
A virtual head-start or deficit is applied to a team's final score. Handicap markets are common in basketball and football, creating more balanced betting options when one side is heavily favoured.
You bet on whether the combined score of both teams will be over or under a set number. Doesn't matter who wins — only the total score counts. Widely used for basketball, football, and volleyball.
Place bets while the game is happening. Odds shift in real time based on score changes, substitutions, and game pace. tah77 live betting is available on major basketball, football, and esports events.
Bet on the overall winner of a competition before or during the tournament. Available for PBA conferences, NBA season, football leagues, and major esports tournaments.
